Its been some time now since I signed up with Facebook, and shared with a lot of you how things when at our RV events across the country. Now I am questioning whether I should look elsewhere to another social platform. It seems I have heard a lot of good things about Google Plus as being a dominating force on the rise to compete with Facebook. Why are people leaving Facebook for Google Plus? Probably because of the privacy issues with Facebook, and them sharing a bit too much information about what your doing.
Whatever the case may be its always a good idea to check your options, and Google Plus is looking like a better option at this point. The only problem is that a lot of you have been following me on Facebook for a while and many of you won’t have a Google Plus account yet. Unfortunately I have been checking around at various review sites and have found it beneficial to switch over. I am also a bit tired of the look of Facebook and probably should have used a Facebook Themes changes a while back but didn’t. I will probably set that up on Google Plus once I get tired of that service unless they plan on releasing some neat backgrounds.
You may want to hop over to Google’s service because I will be soon adding reviews and ratings on some of the new RV’s coming out for 2012, and I know you won’t want to miss that. There are some great new Motorhome models for 2012 that should be improvements from 2011. Even though production has gone down, the quality has actually increased.
Also don’t forget that we will be going on tour in February, and I would like to share with you a few of the new states we will be visiting then. Those of which include Georgia, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming. We will have our short films created there for all of you to enjoy. If you have any questions about Google Plus, I may direct you to a review site similar to Affiliate Network Reviews Scout. This way you can see what other people are saying about social media. For now I need to find a site like that however, so stay tuned.
You know one of the main things with an RV is space. I have had regular vacuums which work great, but in the end it comes down to how much space I have for them in a closet or a corner of our RV. I was putting the one we have now on the side of the bed, but it has become such an issue for my husband when he gets up in the middle of the night and in the mornings. He almost trips and falls.
So here was my solution. I ended getting a small portable vacuum with a folding attachment. This allows me to extend the front end so I don’t have to bend over when I want to clean the carpet. Probably one of the best tools I have gotten in a long time.
Some of the other things I have decided to do in order to clean things up include a portable dust mop which also folds into a small portable and stored away piece. When people say that bigger is not always better I couldn’t agree more. While the portables I have used in the past didn’t do too well at picking up things, the newer ones work like a charm, and I think that overtime these will get even better and offer more solutions for cleaning stains and harder surfaces.
If you have been thinking about buying a portable vacuum, you might first consider some vacuum reviews if you have doubts about what this little thing can do. You can also head on over to Amazon and get new ones for a fraction of what you might pay at a local store. I wouldn’t recommend buying a used one because you really do not know how much it has been mistreated or abused.
That’s about all I have to say about that and my cleaner RV. Yes I do clean up!
Lately many people have been using the internet as a way to get the training for the career they are interested in obtaining a degree for. Many who have RV’s also use the net as a way to get information on how to repair things as well as great destination spots, but more recently many who we have spoken to have used the web to actually get degrees and health career training.
For many this requires a lot of discipline, especially if you are out on the road and traveling the country. Distractions such as new travel destinations can cause a person to wain in their focus towards the academics. However, others have been quite successful at obtaining a full fledged degree, and have done so from the comfort of their RV. Nursing careers have become quite popular for online studies. Others have taken the route of becoming a certified nurses assistant with a short course over a period of only 1 month with online training videos. The cna training is probably one of the most popular forms of online courses available because it is not as demanding as an RN or LPN.
If you have been thinking of getting a degree online then you may want to think about whether it is right for you before jumping in. Some have said it is a lot more difficult learning on the road rather than in a traditional classroom. Its not for everyone, but for those who are disciplined enough it can be quite rewarding according to online instructor Jen Lasky.
Well it’s good news for Goshen’s cozy travelers lightweight towables. It is relatively a new company began in April of 2009. They signed on quite a few new dealers the recent RV dealers Association event in Las Vegas as well as the ever popular RV shows in Hershey Pennsylvania.
Obviously with more production, means more jobs. Despite the downturn of the market owner Robert Wyman has been happy with steady growth of this company. We wish the best for Cozy Traveler’s success, and look forward to reporting more on their products in the future.
Everyone loves this is energy. One of the best ways to save energy is by using solar power. For those with RVs, solar power can be a great way to save serious money. Especially because traveling with an RV require so much gas and can get quite expensive on the road. When you stop at your place of destination, you can use all the amenities that your RV provides with no need for loud generators that can keep you awake at night, or put a damper on a relaxing afternoon.
Most of the time people use solar energy for home security, landscape lighting or other power devices. So many cases the cost to power these small devices can be inexpensive. Also, most of the gadgets and devices powered by solar energy are those which in the case of a disaster would not leave a homeowner without the ability to power them with electricity.
Thus we come back to the issue of the cost for solar powering your RV or motor home. You’ll definitely need to purchase a solar panel that is large enough to take on multiple uses of electronic and electrical devices within your RV. This could include something as simple as a coffee pot, or use of an air conditioner, or an oven. In many instances several devices may not be able to be used at one time.
While the solar panel needs to be of decent size, it also needs to fit your RV. This means long in length and skinny in width. For this type of operation you can look at spending anywhere from $500-$700 on gross motor home vehicles. For that type of money you can look at having a couple days worth of electricity storage for use. If you’re not traveling all across the country, this is especially great for families who take small weekend vacations with their RV.
Obviously so power is still in its infancy stages, and we have yet to see innovative technology which will allow for solar energy to be used easily on all mother homes in the future. If you would like, you should contact a local company or business dealing specifically with solar power, and ask them for a quote on powering your RV. This will mean a technician visiting you at your home and giving you a rough estimate of the cost not only of the solar panels themselves, but installation. Don’t be lumped if you find that installation is going to cost more than the panels themselves. This is a delicate process, and as such needs great care from a professional.
